AMERICANS IN VANCOUVER GATHER TO WATCH THE FIRST US PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

Americans in the Lower Mainland, along with their Canadian friends, will have a choice of three venues on Monday September 26 to watch the First US Presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, hosted by Democrats Abroad. This much-anticipated event is expected to draw record turnouts as the two candidates meet face to face for the first time. The stark differences in strategies, positions, expertise and competence will be in full view.

Democrats Abroad’s widespread constituency will have a choice of three convenient locations. The marquee event will be Steamworks at Waterfront station, a major transit hub with a fantastic view of the harbor, and a great menu. Additionally we will meet at the Lounge at Pacific Inn for the many who live in the South Surrey/White Rock area, and at Cedar Cottage Pub in east Vancouver.

Most crucial:  Democrats Abroad will have voter registration available onsite for those voters who have not yet registered. The US election is less than 6 weeks away, and the world is holding its breath. What will Americans do? Democrats Abroad is reaching out to all overseas Americans to ensure they receive their ballots by registering, either in person at one of the venues, or online at www.votefromabroad.org
