We're an active group of U .S.citizens and committed Democrats living in Costa Rica who get together to talk politics, meet fellow Democrats, register absentee voters and have a good time. Democrats Abroad of Costa Rica (DACR) is one of more than 100 country committees of Democrats Abroad, the official affiliate of the Democratic Party for millions living outside of the U.S.
DACR holds meetings or other events on the last Saturday of every month except December. Meetings include invited speakers on U.S. or Costa Ricas political issues or discussions organized by our members. We meet from 9:30 to noon at the Aurola Holiday Inn in downtown San Jose, third floor. Contributions of c5000 are requested to cover the costs of the meeting room and coffee break; reservations are required. There are no membership fees. Special events include potluck parties or picnics, film showings, and fundraisers.

Annual Meeting of DACR/Election of Executive Committee fo 2009-2011
I've gotten a couple of responses, so the party is on!
The debate begins at 8 pm Mississippi time, which should be 7 pm here. So, why not arrive around 6:30 or so?
Hey, are there any debate watch parties set up? I'd be willing to host one in my home in Cedros Friday night for those on the east side of town.
