The DAF Environment and Energy Policy Groups (EPG) Charter
Objectives
The Environment and Sustainability Policy Group (EPG) was formed by Democrats Abroad France (DAF) in March 2009 to promote environmental and sustainability issues as a means to heighten voter interest and influence and support the Democratic Party. The EPG will broadly address issues relating to environment, energy, and sustainable development, which is defined as the integration of economic, environmental and social concerns.
The objectives of the EPG are to: 1) influence US policy-making on important environment and sustainability issues at the local, national and international levels; 2) identify best policy practices in France and other European countries as examples for US policy; and 3) educate voters on these issues for more enlightened citizenship and inputs into policy-making.
