The fast growing Bordeaux chapter was founded in October, 2007 to help make sure that the 2008 presidential election was a landslide victory for the Democratic party. We are proud of having inflected the good result. We will continue registering new voters and encouraging regular ones to re-register - every year! - and to vote in every election. 2012 is coming up! "Bordeaux, Port of the Moon" is a Unesco World Heritage site and the capital of Aquitaine in Southwest France. Most of our events take place in the historic city centre. Bordeaux is easily accessible by autoroute from the South (the Landes and the Basque Country),the Dordogne, the Atlantic Coast, Agen and Toulouse...and from most parts of the Bordeaux Consular District (Aquitaine, Poitou-Charentes, and Limousin). Informal get-togethers, "Claret Hour Q and A's" with an expert speaker (and good wine!) will take place at various venues—usually the private homes of members. We welcome American citizens of all ages. If you will be old enough to vote in the 2012 elections, you can join us. Events are open to like-minded French nationals interested in American politics, and members of DAF from any chapter, should you happen to be in our lovely cream-colored Neo-Classical city.
