Every year on Memorial Day and D-Day, Democrats Abroad France participates at the wreath-laying ceremonies in remembrance of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our country.
The ceremonies will take place on Sunday, May 24th, Sunday, May 31st, and Friday, June 6th for Normandy. We take this occasion not only to express how grateful we are to the brave men and women who risked their lives so that we might enjoy our freedom but also to express our gratitude to their families who suffered from their loss.
This is a fine opportunity for the new generation to know about the courage of these heroes. Should visitors wish to visit the cemeteries there are free-guided tours that can be arranged.
