Democrats Abroad France is one of 75 active country committees around the world connecting Americans with US politics — registering, informing, motivating voters, supporting candidates, holding events and raising funds. It's open to any American citizen of voting age who supports the principles of the Democratic Party. No oath of loyalty, fees or dues, or past voting record is required to become a member. Democrats Abroad is a full state committee of the Democratic Party casting votes to help determine Democratic candidates.

New DAF Executive Committee Elected, March 14, 2015


Hello DAF Members, 

On Saturday, March 14, at the American Church in Paris, a new Democrats Abroad France Executive Committee was election.  And it promises to be a great team that will lead us into the 2016 electoral cycle under the expert guidance of veteran Joe Smallhoover.

Here are our new officers and Members-at-Large:

Chair: Joe Smallhoover

Vice Chairs: Constance Borde, Patrick Ganne and Barbara Tucker

Barney Kirchhoff reports on Benjamin Barber: If Mayors Ruled the World


Are mayors the solution to many of the world's problems?   

Benjamin  Barber thinks so. 

"Spare me your sermons and I will fix your sewers."

 This line brought down the house at a crowded DAF meeting  at the home of DAF chair  Connie Borde on September 25 where Barber outlined his ideas for a global alliance of mayors.
