 GETTING INVOLVED AND CONTRIBUTING IDEAS

The Jerusalem Chapter of Democrats Abroad-Israel met for a brainstorming session on Thursday, August 11. The goal of the meeting was to gather ideas for programming in the coming year.

In addition to voter registration activities the attendees said they wanted more information about the Democratic Party stance on such key issues as the economy, women's rights and US policy toward Israel. They were interested in hearing from expert speakers and party leaders and discussed how to hold events that would meet that need.

 DA-ISRAEL JERUSALEM BRANCH AT THE WOODSTOCK REVIVAL FESTIVAL - JULY 2011

Democrats Abroad-Israel hosted a table at Jerusalem's Woodstock Revival Festival this year to register all American citizens living in Israel to vote in USA federal level elections and to publicize both Democrats Abroad and www.VoteFromAbroad.org.

The new Jerusalem-area coordinator, Gayle Meyers Cooper said many people registered to vote at the table, and that quite a few joined Democrats Abroad. 

Special thanks go to volunteers Shayna Letter, who skillfully arranged the table and helped everything run smoothly, and to David Maier Epstein and his daughter Avital, who energetically recruited potential voters.
