Welcome to Democrats Abroad Sweden.

We represent the Democratic Party for US citizens who livein Sweden. Members participate in voter outreach and registration, as well asthe events and social gatherings we sponsor. We influence Democratic Partypolicy and are committed to positive change in America. We work to electDemocratic Senators and Representatives. We helped elect Barack Obama as the 44thPresident of the United States.

Our parent organization is Democrats Abroad (DemocraticParty Committee Abroad), which has country committees in more than fiftycountries worldwide. It is the official Democratic Party organization for themillions of Americans who live outside the United States. Democrats Abroad isrecognized as a state by the Democratic National Committee and sends eightelected voting members to participate in the committee. Democrats Abroad electand send voting delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

In addition to our official task of registering voters weorganize local events for all Americans who are interested in US politics.
