Health Care Reform -- you can help
Dear Fellow Democrats in Thailand,

Now that the House and Senate are reconciling the health care bills, it is essential for us to work together to keep on the pressure to ensure final passage of a bill that really reforms the health care system in the U.S. Democrats Abroad has formed a Demorats Abroad Asia/Pacific Health Care Reform Working Group on the subject. And the Bangkok Chapter of DAT held a Town Hall Meeting on 30 September that was attended by 25 people and covered a range of key issues and talked about how each of us can make a difference.

Can you please join us now in taking 10 minutes to support the President and participate in the final stages of the debate? Here’s how in 5 simple steps:
  1. Write to your Representative and Senators using a template we've created (below).

  2. Write a letter to the editor of your hometown newspaper in the US. Include a link to the President’s comprehensive web site:
    http://www.healthreform.gov

  3. Sign the President’s petition:
    http://www.healthreform.gov/support.html

  4. Forward this Video to fellow Americans. On August 20th, President Obama held a forum at DNC Headquarters on Health Insurance Reform:

  5. Email or phone five friends to let them know what they can do!
Please let our Executive Director, Lindsey Reynolds, know when you’ve completed any of these five steps. Lindsey (actionagenda@democratsabroad.org) is tracking activity by Democrats Abroad members around the globe – let’s make our voice heard!

Thanks in advance for joining us in this important initiative,

Peter du Pont
