Munich Marches in Solidarity with the Women's March in Washington

Please note the changes:   The Munich March will end at Karlsplatz at 3pm

Take a stand and march in Munich to affirm our values and speak up for those who cannot.

Similar marches and vigils will be taking place with Democrats Abroad around the world as we join our fellow patriots in Washington D.C. to stand up for the values we hold dear: tolerance, women's rights, religious freedom, facts, environmental protection, democracy, LGBT rights, black lives matter, science, the right to vote to name a few.  Several other groups in Munich will be joining our march as well.  Start point is across from U.S. Consulate front gate and end in Karlsplatz.

Start: Across from the US Consulate 12 pm (Suggest getting there 15 at least minutes early)
Walk to Marienplatz via Odeonsplatz

Speeches Marienplatz 13:00

Walk to Karlsplatz via Briennerstr
Arrive Karlsplz  2:30pm (ish)

We ask that everyone marching with Democrats Abroad WEAR some BLUE! Additionally please bring your passport with you. German authorities have every right to ask you for your passport so it is recommended that we have them readily available.

Feel free to make  your own signs, we may have a few extra on hand for you to hold as well if you feel moved to do so.   Offensive signs may risk being taken.  If you have a question just email Munich Chapter Chair.  Reminder: this is NOT an anti-Trump rally, this is affirmation of our values.

If you know any groups who are interested in marching please have them contact the Chapter Chair.   In Germany we will have marches in Koln, Berlin and events in Weisbaden and Hamburg.
