After the Recesssion – What then?

Inequality, Poverty, Social mobility – what should happen after the recession?

We are in the midst of the largest economic downturn since the 1930s.
However, recovery will come. Recovery brings challenges and highlights
a variety of basic structural economic problems – many of which existed
prior to the recession.

In his only Brisbane address, Professor Haveman will discuss some
common concerns between Australia and the United States relating
specifically to inequality, poverty and social mobility and present
some solutions to these complex issues.
