The March Meetup will be held on Tuesday, March 30 with special guest speaker, Richard Temsch. Richard Temsch specializes in analyzing post-conflict economies and has been a faculty member of the Leader Development for Sustained Peace Program of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. The distinguished audience of these courses has included many past and present US commanders of the two wars, in particular General David Petraeus, Commander of US Central Command, and General Raymond Odierno, Commanding General of the United States Forces in Iraq.

While Iraq and Afghanistan are part of the broader Middle East and neighbors of Iran, they are quite different in terms of religion, ethnic composition, political ambitions and economy. Richard will try to explain the differences in challenges and objectives of US engagement in Afghanistan and Iraq. Join us for what will certainly be an enlightening and lively discussion about the wars America is currently waging.
