Democrats Abroad Belgium invites you to a private viewing and discussion of The Hurt Locker in a small theater reserved just for DAB members and friends.
FILM & DISCUSSION
The critically acclaimed film The Hurt Locker, which recently won 6 Oscars, depicts the technicians of a US Army bomb squad as they attempt to disarm roadside bombs on the streets of Baghdad. The film looks at the effects that risk and danger have on the human psyche as soldiers attempt to do one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.
Following the film, DAB member, political blogger and former US Foreign Service Officer Gerald Loftus will moderate a discussion with the audience in the theatre.
VENUE
We will watch the movie at the Styx Cinema, un cinéma de quartier (neighborhood cinema). As one of the oldest movie houses in Brussels, DAB is proud to support it.
