3) 2010 Midterm Elections – Voter Registration Info
With the recent passage of the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (MOVE) Americans are able to receive ballots electronically and states must provide at least 45 days for the ballot to make it back to the election official. The MOVE Act also asks overseas voters to register EVERY election cycle. This is the easy part. Just go to www.VoteFromAbroad.org, answer the questions, print and sign the form and post it to your local election official. This election is key to assuring that the issues that Democrats care about are implemented over the next few years.
Do you have free time this summer to help find US voters?
Over the summer DAUK will contact organizations to see if they would like us to do voter registration on-site in September. Please help us by sending an email to 5 organizations to encourage them to host an event or post www.VoteFromAbroad.org on their newsletter or message board. We will give you the text for the email. Small actions can bring big results. Email: DAUKVote@democratsabroad.org.uk and we will get you started.
