What:$10 Parma and Politics at the Pub

When: Tuesday 7 September

What time: 6.30pm to 8pm

Come banter about US politics, the 2010 Congressional Midterm Elections and the state of the nation, including -

-How the NAACP and White House helped Fox News progress their evil plan to destroy the Obama Administration (and the career and good name of a hard working civil servant).

- How GREAT IT IS to have another Obama-appointed Justice on the Supreme Court

- How ironic and idiotic it is for Sarah Palin to say President Obama is 'in over his head"

- What a relief it is that oil has stopped spilling into the Gulf of Mexico

- How frustrating it is to watch our fellow Americans who are out of work struggling just to stay in the US job market 

- How confusing it is to hear the pundits debate the ending of the Bush tax cuts for Americans earning over $250,000.

-How confounding it is to see yet another Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee face ethics charges.

- How astonishing it is to hear the Republicans threatening to repeal the 14th Amendment's grant of citizenship to ALL who are born in the US

- How disappointing it is to see the 9th Circuit wreak havoc on the lives of same sex couples in CA who just want to be wed

- How alarming it is that the shrill "No Mosque at Ground Zero!!" voices are penetrating the campaigns of Democrats in close races ...

See? So much to talk about!!!

We hope to see you next week at the Queensbury for some $10 parma, political banter and Dem Party fellowship.  I am making a long-promised trip to my favourite southern capital to be at this event.  I look forward to seeing you then.
