VOTING IN DA
PRIMARY? REQUEST YOUR BALLOT BY JANUARY
31!
To vote in the first-ever Internet DA Primary running from February
5 - 12, you must request your ballot before January 31. You must also be a member of Democrats
Abroad, be a U.S. citizen, reside in a country outside the U.S. and will be 18 by November
4, 2008.
You
can request a ballot by Internet, by email or fax or vote in person at a
designated Voting Center in your region or city. (See
Complete List of Centers below.)
Here
is how you request a ballot online: Go online to: www.votefromabroad.org
You'll
see 3 options:
Option
#1.
If you want to register for both the global primary (Feb. 5-12) and next
November’s general election, choose this option. You cannot have already voted,
or plan to vote, in your state’s presidential primary to choose this
option. An email ballot will come to those who register between Feb.
1-5. Fill in online and email back to DA.
The documents you print are to be used for requesting a
ballot in the general election in your home state– not the primary – and
includes a Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot (FWAB)
Option
#2.
If you want to vote only in the Global Primary, choose this option. Be
sure to click
“here.”
A ballot will come to you by email between Feb. 1-5 in time for you to vote.
You can
fill
out and send back by email, or print out and mail or fax.
Option
#3.
If you have already voted in your state’s primary, choose this option to
register for
the
November general election.
If
you have a family member or know of another U.S. citizen who is not a member of
DA,
encourage
them to also register before Jan. 31at: www.votefromabroad.org or call
for
a ballot or drop in at a voting centre.
