Hi everyone.  I just wanted to report (somewhat belatedly) that our Edmonton 4th of July celebration was a success in spite of some inclement weather.  About 30 people attended, some familiar faces and many new ones.  We posed for our contribution to the Obama Bridge Project on the footpath across the North Saskatchewan and enjoyed each others company and shared stories about how we all came to Canada.

The Edmonton Journal printed a story with a nice photo of two of the younger members of the group sporting U.S. and Canadian flags on their faces.  In addition to a few personal stories, they printed a great interview with Marilyn giving information about how to get involved in the election.  We hope that will stir a few more Democrats and Americans in general to participate in this year's historic election.

We hope to have a picture or two to post in the near future.
