The following information was provided to us by the Obama for America Regional Field Director here in London.

As a result of the overwhelming response for the 'Obama London From East to West' event on Sunday, July 27, the venue has now changed to a larger venue. In light of the new venue, the planned Obama Rally on Tower Bridge will unfortunately have to be cancelled to ensure that everyone is able to get to the meeting venue.

DETAILS

Time:  3PM - 5:30PM

Location:  Cruciform Lecture Theater, 1 Cruciform Building, University College London (UCL), Gower Street London, WC1

The Cruciform Building is the large, X shaped building across the street form the main UCL Campus.

ABOUT THE TRAINING - Speaker Announced

We are delighted to have Ali Sutton, an Obama staffer fresh from the Chicago office, joining us to give a detailed presentation and training session on how to register overseas voters and how to organise grassroots efforts for Barack overseas. We have ambitious goals to vastly expand our voter outreach across the globe in this all-important election, and as some of our most committed activists, you are going to be a critical part of helping us deliver on these goals.

If you yourself have not yet had a chance to register and request your absentee ballot, never fear – we can register you on the spot. We will also give you a chance to indicate what type of volunteer work you might want to do for the campaign here in the UK (if you are based here) or across Europe.
