Activities
- Keeps Americans abroad informed on political developments
in the United States through regular meetings, educational programs,
special events and newsletters. - Lobbies the White
House, Congress and the States on issues of concern to Americans
residing abroad, including national and international issues and issues
specially touching the lives of Americans abroad. - Registers
voters by providing absentee ballot request forms and information about
voting, and assists voters when problems arise with the receipt and
transmission of ballots. - Sends a voting delegation to the Democratic National Convention through a worldwide system of Democrats Abroad caucuses.
- Elects eight members to the Democratic Party's governing body in Washington D.C., the Democratic National Committee.
