To the Democratic Party Committee Abroad and the Democratic Party Committee in Canada, (Democrats Abroad Canada)

(adopted by the DPCA Executive Committee, May 2003)

WHEREAS, Barry Horowitz served our nation in the US Army Reserves,
The Democratic Party Committee Abroad, and Democrats Abroad Canada with
dedication, integrity, and uncompromising principal, and

WHEREAS, Barry Horowitz served for many years on the Executive Board
of Democrats Abroad Canada, most recently as Treasurer, and worked
tirelessly to promote grassroots political involvement within the
American expatriate community in Canada, and

WHEREAS, Barry Horowitz inspired the Officers and Members of
Democrats Abroad Canada with his wonderful, iconoclastic, yet gentle
sense of humor, and unwavering voice for social justice, now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Democratic Party Committee Abroad
recognizes and gratefully acknowledges the exemplary spirit, service,
and commitment to Democratic principals of Barry Horowitz, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Democrats Abroad Canada commemorates
the spirit of a great Democrat and cherished colleague who worked
tirelessly towards the development of our organization and community,
and finally

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be forwarded
to Barry’s family: Sylvia Horowitz, Claire Horowitz, Adam, Amanda and
Jonas Horowitz, Noah Horowitz, Raquel Horowitz and Andrew Henry, Jerry
and Sherry Horowitz, Yakov Meir and Adina Horowitz, and through The
Overseas Democrat, to the Members of the Democratic Party Committee
Abroad and to Democrats Abroad Canada.
