Election Night Watch --- Democrats Abroad Rome
In order to accommodate as many of our members as possible, we have changed slightly the Democrats Abroad Election Night events here in Rome. We want as many of our members to be together for this historic moment and yet we must adhere to strict fire-, business- and security codes.
Time: 1 AM to 10 AM, Wednesday, Nov. 5
Location: Termini Station
Exact location will be sent with confirmation to RSVP on 11/1. Free unreserved off-street parking for first 120 cars at the door of the event.
There is a cab stand 20 meters from the location’s front door.
There will be enhanced security on the Termini campus during the event, concentrated on the night bus stops. but we recommend coming in groups or coming by taxi since DA cannot be responsible for escort service.

Refreshments:
All- night, All-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast
Pancakes, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, fruit salad, orange juice, American coffee and decaf will be served all-night.
Cost: E15, paid directly to caterer, plus E5 (minimum) requested donation to DA to help cover expenses associated with the event. In other words, you should budget E20. (Note: This suggested contribution to DA is the same for all members.)
This E15/person is not an optional expense. In addition to the breakfast menu, the caterer offers specially priced pizza, deserts, and beverages (beer, wine, prosecco and soft drinks) which you settle directly with the caterer. Children under 12 pay E10.
Reservations:
DA members can bring up to two (2) additional guests, whose names must be submitted with the members RSVP. DA can only accept donations from Americans, so if you are bringing Italians guests, they are your guests.
Children under 12 do not count in the two (2) guest limit. There will be room for them on the floor, and they should have sleeping bags.
For those of you who have already RSVP'd for more than two guests, we will honor your request if you reply with all their names by Friday, Oct. 31.
DA members should try and decide by Oct. 31. Requests from non-DA members will be confirmed only after all DA members who want to come are accommodated by that date. We have had inquiries from the press, who we will only confirm after all DA members RSVPs are counted.
On the night of the event, DA members without reservation will be given preference at the door, should there be additional space. However, once in, no one will be asked to leave to accommodate anyone at the door, whether DA or no.
Everyone not on the RSVP list, as well as all guests of DA members, must show a photo ID.
There are four other events that anyone can participate in that night. None of these is officially a DA-sponsored event, since, as the official Democratic Party, we must adhere to strict Federal Finance laws and cannot receive any money from anyone other than American citizens. We include them here for your election night planning.
