Resolution approving the 2008 Delegate Selection Plan Adopted by the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party Committee Abroad, June 5, 2007, by telephone conference. Whereas, after consultation with the Affirmative Action Committee of Democrats Abroad and with the DPCA, on April 17, 2007 the Executive Committee of Democrats Abroad adopted a draft Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plan for the 2008 National Convention. Whereas on April 18, 2007 the draft Democrats Abroad 2008 Delegate Selection Plan was made available to the public generally for comment for a thirty day period and whereas appropriate measures were taken to publicize the public comment period. Whereas such period for public comment has now expired. Whereas the comments received from the public are appended to the revised draft of the Democrats Abroad 2008 Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plan appended to this Resolution. Whereas the Executive Committee of Democrats Abroad has examined the comments made by the public with care. Now therefore, be it resolved that the draft Democrats Abroad 2008 Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plan appended hereto be approved by the Executive Committee of Democrats Abroad and submitted to a vote of the DPCA under Article III (Section 3.10) of the Bylaws of Democrats Abroad.
