My Second Statements for Rome Italy Board Candidates

My Seconding Statements for                                          Italy Board candidates representing Rome

Seconded
Marco Rossi is a loyal member of the Rome community. He knows more of our members than anybody.  He supports the chapter generously with his time and money, attends every function, gives solid advice, and many people depend on him.

Seconded
Vittorio Occorsio is a student organizer.  He organized Obama fan clubs and events all over the city and at the Rome Universities this year as a law student.  He is a sensible and serious young man, a natural politician and a leader.

Seconded
Molly Gage can run a small country.   In 2008, she did simultaneous events all over Italy organizing a community of Obama supporters not included in any other political group, which grew to 300 members by the election.  Molly teaches, with a Masters in Art Therapy, at Rome schools and nonprofits.

Barbara Goldfield is the bedrock of DA Rome.  She and her family have sustained the Rome community, from the Economy Books days on.  She currently represents Rome on the Italy Board, and coordinates all DA news in the Italian press.  She does all-nighters with energy to spare, and writes Italian impeccably.

Seconded
Anthony Sistilli represents Rome on the Italy Board, where he has been elected Chair since 2005. Under his leadership, DA Italy expanded to include a fourth chapter -- Florence -- with Torino and Venice chapters in the pipeline. As Italy Chair, he coordinates our activities with the other 46 country chapters.  His volunteer efforts  expanded to include elected DA International Legal Counsel in November 2009 and now sits on our International Executive Committee. In addition to volunteering for every event in Rome and his work for DA Italy, Anthony also served on the IT committee for the new website and database this past year.  Many in DA are grateful for the thousands of hours and travel at his own expense Anthony has donated, me most of all.

Seconded
Gail Fagan is an IT whiz who lives in Sardegna (the Isolani are part of the Rome chapter). She volunteered to keep Rome's technology humming during 2008's Global Primary and Fall voter registration. She shoulders numerous responsibilities (comes with being a whiz) and yet has been always able to help Rome at a moment’s notice.

Seconded
Nicole Focone, who I don't know but whom checked out on Facebook,  is an active community member in Rome and LA- She is very stylish and seems to network well in both the Italian and the US communities, here and abroad..

For Chair Rome

Seconded
Kass Thomas knows how to make voter registration fun ---and anything else for that matter.  Sunny and smart.  She can not be outdanced. She knows her technology, too.  Rome is lucky to have her.
