Gail Milissa Grant
"At the Elbows of My Elders"

DA Rome member Gail Milissa Grants will project archival photos as she tells about her family and their part in building the Democratic grassroots in St. Louis 60 years ago and 60 years after Lincoln.   Milissa published her first book, "At the Elbows of My Elders", in October, 2008.  More information is here www.gailmilissagrant.com

BE THE CHANGE:

We are living in exciting times, as we watch our new President go to work each day to address some of the most grave problems America has ever faced.  Many of us are inspired to help as never before,

Why not take an active role in DA Rome and grow from the grassroots out? It's alot of fun and good for you!
The new Chair of Rome will be sending out more information shortly, but I am attaching a brief description of the steering committee responsibilities at the bottom of this mailing.  if you would like more information or to volunteer, write events.rome@democratsabroad.it or me personally, lisa@romegardens.org,

THANKS!
On the even of the election, I want to thank you for the opportunity to be Rome Chair during these past four years.  Together we have been through some of the most important elections of our lifetime, and together we helped more difficult-to-register overseas Americans into the U.S. political discourse than ever --- and got the results we wanted.     Kudos to us!
