At its 24.5.09 meeting in Tel Aviv, the DA-Israel Executive Committee ratified the Chair's appointment of Efrat  Benn as Coordinator of the Jerusalem & Area Local Group.   Efrat will serve in this position until the DA-Israel next internal election, which will be held in mid-December 2010.  Until that time Efrat's mission is to turn the group into a functioning Chapter, able to hold events and meetings and to elect its own local leadership. 

Many of you will recall Efrat as the person behind the Inauguration Party on 20.1.09 at the Zollis Pub in Jerusalem -- along with several more great volunteers; and before that the person who took charge at the Election Night Watch at the Jerusalem branch of Mike's Place 4.11.08.    

We all wish Efrat and the members of the Jerusalem & Area Local Group great success in all their actions and activities.
