For the July Meetup we will be discussing the controversies that are whirling around

Washington DC

and the Obama Administration. Although most of these subjects are perpetuated by the Right Wing Propaganda Machine, we should be aware that there are also controversial issues that have been announced by the Obama White House (state secrets, military tribunals, etc).

We will have a free-ranging discussion on such topics as: socialism and health care; the continued increasing pay scale for the corporate welfare queens/kings; is Obama keeping too many Bush policies alive?; the

C street boys and their version of religion in American politics. We may touch on other, stranger, points such as AK47s being given away if people in

Missouri

buy a pickup truck or conspiracy theories concerning Obama's citizenship.

If anything pops up that you would like to discuss (or ridicule!), come to the meet-up and introduce your favorite topic.
