On June 12, 2009 in Washington, DC,
Ambassador Charles Freeman, Jr.  delivered a brilliant speech to DACOR
(Diplomatic and Consular Officers Retired).  In it, he outlined why the
American policy, both national and international, is made on false
assumptions and inaccurate analyses.  He pointed out the dangers of
vested interests controlling the interpretation of intelligence and the
means by which information from objective observers is systematically
removed from consideration in the decision making process.  The speech was documented with examples and very pertinent observations on Middle Eastern policy in particular.  A MUST
READ!

Sharon Manitta, DAUK, brought this speech to our attention via the DemsAbroad chatgroup.
