July 4th in France

Summer Holiday Ideas
Connect with other DA chapters by attending their events or contacting them while you are on vacation.

With vacation upon us, many will be travelling to different parts of France.  We encourage you to take advantage of any opportunities to connect with other Democrats Abroad members.  If you have summer houses in the provinces, think to go to the 4th of July picnic organized in your region.  Or give a call to members there.
Check the upcoming events for announcements of two Fourth of July picnics -- one in the Pyrenees organized by the Toulouse Chapter and one in Normandy, on the banks of the Seine.  Both are at private residences, so you must RSVP in order to receive directions and exact address.
See you there!

Toulouse Chapter July 4th Picnic in the Pyrenees

Democrats Abroad France – Toulouse Chapter
WILL CELEBRATE

…with a GREEN POTLUCK MOUNTAIN PICNIC
starting at 12:30 on July 4th
at Ken Sherman’s gite near Aspet, in the foothills of the Pyrenees.

BRING A DISH TO SHARE: nibbles, starter, salad, main dish, something to throw on the grill, dessert, or cheese, as well as a bottle if you like.  There will be a cash bar with wine and punch.
The green part means that we will not generate trash, so your picnic basket needs to include your own plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins.  Let’s avoid plastic throw-aways and help keep that mountain green!
Activities will include music (bring your instrument), dancing (bring your tap dance shoes, ballet slippers, clogs or flamenco boots), games for kids of all ages (bring your kids), brilliant speeches (bring your attention span), a raffle (bring your lucky charm), and maybe an auction (bring your discerning taste and sense of a good bargain).
The gite is approximately a 1 hr 15 min drive southwest of Toulouse.

For the exact location, details and directions please RSVP to
