The Munich chapter of Democrats Abroad - although Munich-centered - should represent Democrats Abroad all over Bavaria, we will hold this workshop in another part of Bavaria. We want to get people motivated and to begin working together more closely all over Bavaria. We want to get together, get to know each other better and think about efficient ways of supporting our candidates and their campaign efforts back home. We want to review our experiences with the past election cycle and profit from the lessons we learned then. We will talk about general strategies, how to find our fellow citizens in our neighborhoods here in Germany and how to help them get registered to vote. There will be a few concrete projects to work on at the meeting, as well, like the layout and financing of a new German-wide DA brochure, an archive project for the first 50 years of DA, our Munich Chapter Election-Year Handbook, etc.
List of possible agenda items:
- Discussion of the 2010 Democrats Abroad Germany Flyer
- Lessons learned from the 2008 campaigns
- Voter Registration Drive 2010
- Organizing Visibility - How to get in contact with US voters in Germany
This event is mainly for U.S. citizens. Other nationals may attend as guests.
