Hi Dems,

Ah, it’s stinkin’ hot, everyone has cranked on the AC and the beaches are full of people. Doesn’t it just make you yearn for a big ole’ turkey dinner?

We at Democrats Abroad Victoria are certainly in the mood for turkey with all the trimmings. We are holding our annual Thanksgiving picnic at the picnic area near Studley Park Boathouse in Yarra Bend Park from 1pm  on Sunday, November 22. Please note: this is NOT where we held our Thanksgiving bash last year, it is where we held our 4th of July barbecues this year and last. We will supply the turkeys, but we are asking everyone to bring a side dish. Last year we had an amazing smorgasboard, so we are looking forward to all the delicious corn bread, mashed potatoes, baked beans, yams, desserts and everything else that goes with Thanksgiving! Please email Matt (moondogunity@yahoo.com to say how many people are coming and what sort of dish you are bringing so we don’t miss out on anything essential.

Bring: Your own drink and a side dish or dessert to share. We will provide all the turkeys

Donation: We are asking for a $5-$10 donation to cover the cost of the turkeys. It is definitely not compulsory, but if you could kick in what you can spare it would be a great help.
