Democrats Abroad hold our own primary election and we send our own delegates to the Democratic Convention. Voting in the Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary instead of your home state is easy, just stop by and cast your ballot!
Why vote in Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary? Because your vote may carry more weight since the number of votes per delegate in DA is much lower than most states. For example, approximately 25,000 voted in the Global Primary in 2008 compared to more than 150,000 who voted in Vermont (a similar number of delegates as DA).
Also, DA members can vote as early as Super Tuesday so we can help build early momentum for our candidate instead of voting later (i.e. California has a June Primary).
