Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020, is Election Day in the United States. Early voting is underway in many states; US citizens living abroad have been sending back ballots for weeks now.
Are You a US Citizen and Have Not Yet Voted?
Count The Votes Rally 12pm on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020
Anyone following the election knows how much is at stake. The current occupant of the White House must go and we urgently need a blue wave up and down the ballot, so we can continue tackling everything from the climate crisis to racial justice to the coronavirus pandemic.
The current administration has openly stated that absentee voting is fraudulent and has not committed publicly to a peaceful transition of power. Additionally, the pandemic has resulted in fewer polling stations and is exacerbating the normal obstacles to voting in the United States.
These developments result in legitimate fears that the voting infrastructure will not be sufficient, that not all votes will be counted, and that there would be an unprecedented political and legal resistance to the transition of administrations.
For these reasons we are peacefully gathering in front of Brandenburger Tor at 12:00 on November 4th to send a message that we want to see a democratic United States that counts its votes!
We are rallying because:
- All legal votes cast must be counted
- We believe in the peaceful transition of power between administrations
- We do not support the current administration's vision of a racist, intolerant, climate unfriendly, and 'America-First' United States
Public Health and Hygiene
We are living in a pandemic. Masks and social distancing will be required (yes, even outside) and please bring hand sanitizer. We will have volunteers walking around ensuring that these regulations are being followed.
We want to make our voice heard! Please share this event far and wide, with anyone who wants to see the US election democratically conducted and all of the votes counted!
