Our vision is to expand participation in DA Luxembourg. One of the vehicles that we plan to wield is having guest speakers.
Title: The Tenant Experience in Luxembourg’s Private Rental Market
Bio: Lindsay Flynn is an Associate Professor of political science and public policy at the University of Luxembourg. Starting in 2021, she was awarded a five-year, 2 MEUR research grant from the FNR for the PROPEL project (PROactive Policymaking for Equal Lives). Under the grant, Lindsay leads a research team that examines the causes and consequences of housing-driven inequality in Europe and North America. Lindsay holds a PhD in government from the University of Virginia. Much of her research is designed to have policy impact and bring together stakeholders in research, practice, and policymaking. Lindsay previously taught political science at Wheaton College (MA), where she co-led the launch of a new undergraduate curriculum designed to meet the demands and challenges of the 21st century labor market.
Lindsay will be speaking about a recently published report on the tenant experience in Luxembourg. The report, commissioned by the Mieterschutz – the only tenants’ protection association in Luxembourg – examines the challenges faced in the private rental market using two new data sources. During the month of June, you can follow Lindsay on social media under the hashtag #30in30Research as she and the research team discuss key findings and implications of the report.
