UK Political Book Club - Q&A with Streets of America Photographer Chris Porsz

We meet one Tuesday a month via Zoom from 7:30 PM to 8:45 PM UK time.  We discuss the book of the month (45 minutes) and then current events (30 minutes). 

All are welcome! even if you haven't read the book.  We often suggest reviews, interviews and podcasts to help you access the book in a way that fits your schedule.

On Feb 11 at 7:30 pm UK time, street photographer Chris Porsz joins us to discuss his book Streets of America. Chris spent 80 days visiting 23 cities in the spring of 2023 and 2024. Joining Chris will be Philly Man Jason Donnelly who appears on the front cover.

Chris Porsz, born in the UK of Holocaust survivors from Poland, retired after 47 years as an NHS paramedic.  He is an amateur, mostly street photographer who has produced 10 books.  In Reunions and Reunions 2, Chris went back to find the complete strangers he took pictures of in the early 1980s, with no contact details.  In over 300 reunions, he retook their pictures in the same place and had them tell their stories three to four decades later.
