Women achieved the right to vote in the U.S. in 1920, after mobilizing a movement that spanned decades. We now have the same and new challenges to voting that the suffragists faced. We need to mobilize women to protect our right to vote and advance critical issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. The only way to insure that ALL Americans can participate in the November 2020 Presidential Election is to pass "Voting By Mail for All" legislation. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Ron Wyden have introduced a Bill in the Senate to do that. Stacey Abrams has been fighting voter suppression since she was denied the governorship of Georgia. We have to be part of that movement.
Let's come together to share ideas, strategies and goals for this election and to share personal reasons why this is important to you. While there are a large number of Americans living in Canada it has always been difficult to energize a large voter turnout. That changed in 2018. We need to build on the gains from that election and in 2020 win every house - from the White House to the State House. Let's do this Together!
For those who have a favourite banana bread recipe - please share that too!
