Join us on Sat Jan 21 online as DAJapan co-sponsors the 7th annual Women of the World March JAPAN (WOW Japan) virtual event
On June 22nd - the 50th Anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision - people across the globe will be meeting and marching because gender equity is #BiggerthanRoe and it’s about more than abortion. The Dobbs decision presents threats to privacy, autonomy, marriage equality and more - especially given the current US Supreme Court and House of Representatives. In 2022, a wall of resistance ensured the “red wave” was just a ripple and we're starting 2023 by using that momentum to focus on what we each can do to bring about social change to promote gender equity.
This virtual gathering will include brief presentations on key issues and personal stories on a range of topics including issues facing young women, how gender issues are connected, marriage equality, recent changes in the US, the need for more leaders who understand the importance of gender equity and how what happens in the US impacts people elsewhere.
