Book Club: Black and White - Works about Racial Bias and Racial Intolerance

Our next book club will be an online meeting on Sunday, July 26 at 3pm.  For this session we have not chosen a single book for everyone to read.  Instead we encourage you to bring your reactions to a variety of books, films and podcasts on the subject of race in America.  These may be books/films that you consumed recently or as far back as high school.  Of course, there are many, many perspectives from which to approach this subject – racism from the historical perspective, the legislative perspective, the economic perspective, the health care perspective, the white perspective, to name a few.

Perhaps in the wake of the wave of Black Lives Matter protests you have been reading and watching material in order to reach a deeper understanding of the current landscape of attitudes.  If you need suggestions for materials, here are some books, films and podcasts you can use to inform yourself and prepare for our discussion.
