Democrats Abroad Lyon held its largest rally ever, since its inception in 2017, at the Place Paul Duquair next to the inspiring statue showing man helping man Le Poids de soi on April 5, 2025. 

The rally was part of a worldwide day of protests all over the US and Europe, telling the Trump administration to keep their hands off our government agencies, our Medicare and Medicaid, our Social Security, our reproductive rights, our voting rights, in short, hands off our treasured DEMOCRACY.  The event was a great success, with about 150 people attending.  There were speeches, songs and lots of interest garnered from passersby. Some folks came all the way out from Switzerland, Grenoble and even Morocco.  So THANK YOU ALL for taking the time to get out in the hot sun and protest to try and SAVE OUT DEMOCRACY !
