Come join us for a Juneteenth Picnic on Sunday, June 15th at 3 PM. We'll gather near the Kamogawa Delta, just north of Demachi Bridge on the west side of the river (same location as last time). Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, justice, dignity, and multiculturalism. It marks the day the last enslaved African Americans learned of their emancipation at the end of the U.S. Civil War (June 19, 1865)-- a powerful step forward in the long journey toward equality. We'll have a soulful playlist honoring the rich musical legacy of African Americans, soul food, and exceptionally good vibes. This is a chill picnic open to everyone, regardless of nationality or opinion. If you care about freedom, we want you here! Bring something to share, if you can. In the event of rain, we will move under the nearest bridge. Don't miss this unparalleled friendworking opportunity! If you know an American, please encourage them to register to vote: https://www.votefromabroad.org/
