Juneteenth Picnic in Kyoto

Come join us for a Juneteenth Picnic on Sunday, June 15th at 3 PM. We'll gather near the Kamogawa Delta, just north of Demachi Bridge on the west side of the river (same location as last time).
Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, justice, dignity, and multiculturalism. It marks the day the last enslaved African Americans learned of their emancipation at the end of the U.S. Civil War (June 19, 1865)-- a powerful step forward in the long journey toward equality.
We'll have a soulful playlist honoring the rich musical legacy of African Americans, soul food, and exceptionally good vibes. This is a chill picnic open to everyone, regardless of nationality or opinion. If you care about freedom, we want you here!
Bring something to share, if you can. In the event of rain, we will move under the nearest bridge.

6月15日（日）午後3時から、ジューンティーンス・ピクニックを開催します！場所は鴨川デルタの近く、出町橋の北側・西岸です（前回と同じ場所です）。
ジューンティーンスは、自由、正義、尊厳、多文化主義を祝う日です。これは、1865年6月19日、アメリカ南北戦争の終結時に最後まで奴隷とされていたアフリカ系アメリカ人が自由を知らされた日であり、平等を目指す長い道のりにおいて大きな一歩となりました。
当日は、アフリカ系アメリカ人の豊かな音楽的伝統を称えるソウルフルなプレイリストや、ソウルフード、そしてとびきり良い雰囲気をご用意しています。このピクニックは、国籍や考えに関係なく、誰でも参加できる自由でリラックスしたイベントです。自由を大切に思う方は、ぜひお越しください。
何かシェアできる食べ物や飲み物があれば、ぜひお持ちください。雨天の場合は、近くの橋の下に移動します。
