Quarterly Book Club

Yes, we are aware that calling this book club quarterly might be a bit of a stretch, but we are sticking to it. This “quarter” we will be reading the Kurt Vonnegut classic “Player Piano.” Vonnegut’s debut novel depicts a dystopia of automation partly inspired by the author's time working at General Electric, describing the negative impact technology can have on quality of life. Despite being written in 1952, this novel somehow feels timely. Whether you read, listen, or simply “familiarize” yourself with the book, come join us. All are welcome.
