Secretary, Germany; Göttingen-Hannover Vice Chair

I am currently the Secretary of Democrats Abroad Germany, and my volunteer efforts with Democrats Abroad began when I took on the establishment of the Hannover Precinct. After helping to increase our membership and presence in Hannover so that we could become the Göttingen-Hannover Chapter, I became the Vice Chair of our growing chapter. I am a native Texan who has called Germany home for 20 years. As a mother of two boisterous boys and an international school teacher, I am passionate about helping young people take action to make the world around them a better place. I try to lead by example with the work that I do both at Democrats Abroad and on other projects, such as assisting refugees, protecting the environment and helping local food banks. I hope that we can continue to increase the outreach in our Göttingen-Hannover region, in Germany and across the globe to ensure as many people as possible exercise their right to vote. I also truly hope that we can turn Texas blue!!

  • rsvped for Ben Wikler 2021-10-13 05:54:28 -0400

    Ben Wikler

Ben Wikler has been the Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin since 2019. In his work, most recently for the progressive group MoveOn.org, Ben has played a leadership role in some of the most critical political fights of recent years—from the successful battle to save the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid, to the defense of Dreamers, immigrants, and refugees, to the rise of the Blue Wave of 2018. While working across the country, Ben has always stayed connected to his Wisconsin roots, recently working to help elect the Evers/Barnes ticket and sounding the alarm about the GOP power grab after their victory. Now the Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, he believes we can supercharge grassroots energy in every part of Wisconsin to fight for our progressive agenda, and secure Democratic victories all the way up and down the ticket for years to come. Chair Wikler will speak to us about how Democrats and Wisconsinites Abroad can help these efforts! Join us on Saturday, November 13th (time zones below), to find out how.
