May Chapter Meeting

The Hamburg and Northern Germany Chapter will be meeting again on May 25th, 2024. This will be a hybrid meeting -- we will be meeting in Hamburg, with the option to join on Zoom. Send us an RSVP and you will receive the Zoom link ahead of the meeting.

Topics will include:

• Our vote for a member of the Democratic National Committee and a delegate to the Democratic National Convention
• Planning for upcoming events:
  • (tentative) a GOTV stand at the Eppendorfer Landstraßenfest in Hamburg, June 1st - 2nd
  • Guided Tour of the Flensburg Brewery, June 15th
  • March for Democracy, in the week of the 4th of July
  • Christopher Street Day:
    • Hamburg, August 2nd - 4th
    • Lübeck, August 17th
    • Bremen, August 24th

We're currently not confirmed for the Eppendorfer Landstraßenfest, but we're on the waiting list, and very much hope to participate. If so, we'll be looking for volunteers for the stand on the first weekend of June. Check back here for updates, by May 20th at the latest.

Our vote for DA representatives in the Democratic Party

Our chapter will be represented at Democrats Abroad's EMEA Regional Convention on May 26th, at which a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in August 2024 and a member of the Democratic National Committee for the term 2024-2028 will be elected; the Committee member will also be a convention delegate. These DA representatives will bring the concerns of Americans living abroad to the attention of the Democratic Party, and with our vote we can influence that message.

At the meeting you are welcome to share any preferences and priorities you may have concerning the candidates. Like every election, this is our opportunity to influence the future, and we'd like our vote to reflect the views of chapter members.
