The Walk & Talk with Democrats Abroad in September will be an adventure into the canton Valais! We will be discovering Martigny, an ancient town, founded by the Gauls in 1st century BC and conquered by the Romans in 57 BC. The area was a significant Roman military and administrative center and later a prominent medieval city. On the walk we will be stopping at Château de la Bâtiaz, built in the mid-13th century, for a tower climb to see the view of the valley and city!
