Walk With Us - Tour of Matonge

Last DAB tour of Matonge in February

Come join us on a tour of Brussels' Matongé neighborhood! We'll have a guided tour around the neighborhood that will cover a bit of the colonial past, but mostly focuses on the day to day life of living in Matongé and the effect of the past on the Brussels of today.

This is a repeat of the walk we did for Black History Month. It sold out and a lot of the attendees on the tour requested that we do it again when it's warmer.

This tour is organized by Kuumba, a volunteer organization that brings cultures together for exchange, dialogue, and entertainment. They also have decolonization workshops, Lingala and Swahili lessons, and much more.

The tour will be in English, last for 1.5 hours, and costs 6 EUR/person. We'll meet the Porte de Namur metro station (entrance near Uniqlo in Square Patrice Lumumba) and head out from there. The 6 EUR for the guide can be transferred to the event host's IBAN (BE38 3771 3192 3572) before the event.
