Visit to the Costa Rica Humanitarian Foundation

Barrio La Carpio, San Jose

Gail Nystrum, member of DACR, has proposed a visit to her foundation’s operations in Barrio La Carpio, near Pavas, San Jose

This will be a fascinating full-day field trip that will include the following:

       Orientation
       Interactive play presented by the grandmothers, founders of La Carpio
       Tour of the facilities
       Participation in one of the following:
o   Work with children in the Montessori Center
o   Paint houses
o   Create a mural
o   Organize materials
o   Food distribution
       Walkabout in the neighborhood
       Buffet lunch on site
 
And take this opportunity to clean out your closet! Used clothing is always welcome and appreciated!
 
Please wear casual lightweight clothing and comfortable walking shoes

Time: 9 – 2:30 

Parking available at the Parqueo Público Hospital México #1.
