Düss-Ruhr Book Club: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

This month, we will be reading "The Book Theif" by Markus Zusak.

The Book Thief tells the story of Liesel, a little girl in Nazi Germany, who is taken to a new home because her mother can't afford to take care of her.  New York Times comments that "it's the kind of book that can be life-changing, because without ever denying the essential amorality and randomness of the natural order, "The Book Thief" offers us a believable, hard-won hope."
