General Presidential Primary in Portugal - Day 2 of 2

It's time to VOTE!

CAST YOUR BALLOT for your preferred candidate for the Democratic Nomination for President at the Global Presidential Primary Voting Center in Portugal.

Day 1:  Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Day 2:  Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The 2024 Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary runs from March 5 to March 12, 2024.

➡️  Vote in-person at our Voting Center, or remotely via email, mail, or fax. (Same-day registration will be allowed at the Voting Center.)

➡️  Ballots for remote voting will be available from February 13th.  (Please do not bring downloaded remote ballots to the voting center. They will not be accepted.)

➡️New members must register to vote in the Global Primary by joining Democrats Abroad at democratsabroad.org/join.

To join Democrats Abroad, you must be a US citizen abroad, and 18 years of age as of November 5, 2024.

NOTE: This is a primary for president only. To vote in local primary races in the U.S., you still need to request a ballot from your state. If you do, leave the choice of presidential nominee blank. Don’t vote twice!

How and Where to Vote

IN PERSON

Join us at our voting center in Lisbon to cast your ballot in person in the Global Presidential Primary (GPP).

We will be located at Sá da Costa Café and Gallery in the Livraria Sá da Costa, R. Serpa Pinto 19, Lisboa on the following dates:

• Tuesday, March 5:  4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Saturday, March 9:  10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Volunteers will be on hand to help you register and vote.

Not Near Lisbon?

• Request your primary ballot now on VoteFromAbroad.org and you’ll also be registered with your state for the year too.
• You may request your Global Presidential Primary ballot here (this will not register you for your state elections).
• Democrats Abroad Portugal members may also email [email protected] to receive a ballot by postal mail.

Returning Your Ballot

Dates: You may return your ballot by email or postal mail between February 13th and March 12.

Email: Emailed ballots may be returned between February 13 and March 12.

Postal mail: Postal mailed voted ballots must be postmarked by March 12th and received no later than March 17th. Please email [email protected] for the postal address.

Please note: Ballots downloaded and printed at home CANNOT be returned to the Lisbon voting center.
