Voting from BC in the U.S. Elections? Here’s How We Can Help


Voters in California, Maine, New Jersey, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Virginia have critical state-wide elections on November 4th. We have put dates and key instructions below. Many other states are having a general election or other important local races this year. Don’t delay requesting your ballot through votefromabroad.org. We are also offering voter assistance to our DA BC Mainland members with our GOTV officer and voter assistant team!

  • Sat. Oct. 18, 10:00-11:30 am - IN PERSON - Koffie, 1050 W Pender St, Vancouver

  • Mon. Oct. 20, 7:30-8:30 pm - ONLINE - Zoom link

  • Tues. Oct. 21, 7:30-8:30 pm - ONLINE - Zoom link

  • Sat. Oct. 25, 5:00-6:00 pm - IN PERSON - The Pleasant, 2434 Main St, Vancouver

  • Mon. Nov. 3, 5:30-6:30 pm - ONLINE - Zoom link

 

Key Dates and Instructions:

 

CA STATE ELECTIONS -

   Ballot may be faxed, received by Nov 4, 8pm

   If ballot sent by mail only, postmarked by Nov 4 & received by Nov 12

ME STATE ELECTIONS (Ballot Initiative) - 

   Ballots may be emailed -- all must be received by Nov 4, 8pm.

NJ STATE ELECTIONS -

   Ballot may be emailed, received by Nov 4, 8pm (must mail at same time as send email but no deadline for receipt)

   If ballot sent by mail only, postmarked by Nov 4 & received by Nov 10

TX-18 SPECIAL CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION -

   Ballot may be faxed only in military or family in combat zone, received by Nov 4, 7pm

   All others must mail. If mailed from within US, received by Nov 4, 7pm.

   If mailed from outside the US, postmarked by Nov 4 & received by Nov 10

PA STATE ELECTIONS - only intend to return may vote

   Ballot must be mailed; signed by Nov 3 & received by Nov 12

VA STATE ELECTIONS -

   Ballot must be mailed; postmarked by Nov 4 & received by Nov 7
