July “Take Action Tuesdays”

I know we are all bursting with frustration (and lots of other emotions) as we read the news everyday.  Democrats Abroad Global creates weekly “Take Action messages that you may have also seen. 

Starting this Tuesday, July 1, Democrats Abroad Türkiye will be hosting “Take Action Tuesdays” on Zoom as way to make us sit down and call or write to our Congressional representatives on whatever is the weekly “Take Action” topic (or any other issue on your mind).

This will occur every Tuesday in July and August at 8 pm for 1 hour during the first Tuesday of the month and just 30 minutes on the other Tuesdays. After the summer, we will assess the success of this program and decide on the best way forward.

The July dates/times are:

Tuesday, July 8 - 8:00-8:30 pm

Tuesday, July 15 - 8:00-8:30 pm

Tuesday, July 22 - 8:00-8:30 pm

Tuesday, July 29 - 8:00-8:30 pm

For those who still struggle with making calls to U.S. landlines due to Skype’s demise , I suggest using the Viber app which can be use the same way as Skype. A monthly U. S. Unlimited plan on Viber Out costs $1.99 and it includes landlines and mobile phones.  Once set up on the mobile app,  you can use it via the web as well.
