Join the Münster/Osnabrück/Bielefeld Region Chapter's quarterly (or there abouts) book club. This time around we will be reading "All the King’s Men“, by Robert Penn. The discussion will be led by a local historian originally from Louisiana, the book's fictional location. This Pulitzer Prize winning book tells the story of charismatic populist governor Willie Stark and his political machinations in the Depression-era Deep South. It was inspired by the real-life story of U.S. Senator Huey P. Long. The Financial Times puts this book on its list of 10 books to read before the 2024 Election calling it "everything you need to know about demagoguery America-style."
